Okay the one comment I keep getting is "you should have shown more landscape". The thing is there wasn't a landscape, right below the treeline was a busy 4 lane freeway.

This image was taken on the same
[link] and show the roads that were the "landscape".
I managed to snap this shot without any traffic in it but when shooting landscape there was always traffic in the view - I'm not fond of having blurred traffic in my photographs.

I've just uploaded one of the rest of my photographs, that all have the traffic in them. I'll let you be the judge on which you prefer, but my opinion is that I hate the one with the cars.

I really appreciate all of your comments - but please understand I did the best I could in the situation I was in.

I don't know if you care, but:
1) don't use F22, it is diffraction limited in aps-c sensors and images loose sharpness.
2) You could use longer shutter with no problem, and lower iso to 200 to reduce the noise.
3) The traffic would not be blurred in these settings.
4) I think you pushed the highlights too much, there is a harsh highlight clipping on the clouds.

I would say either cut the trees out or take a vertical crop and include freeway in about 1/3rd of the crop from the bottom.

This is AMAZING! :O the clouds and sky are sooooo pretty! I actually like that you can just see the tree line. Adds just a bit of contrast to the rest of the photo, without taking away from the main subject, which in this case is the sky. Wonderful photo!
